Gourin is currently a professor at the Kiev Art Institute and also serves as the head of the Independent Union of Art in Kiev.
Three times in 1994 Gourin represented Ukrainian artists at art shows in Paris. Popular in France, Gourin has had at least one major exhibit per year in Paris since 1989. His works are represented in Museums in Kiev, Leningrad, Odessa, and Moscow.
