A graduate of the I.E. Repin Institute, Rebane majored in the Oreshinikov workshop. In 1948, Rebane participated in his first Moscow exhibition. His first international exhibition occurred in Tokyo in 1974. His works are contained within the collections of the Fleischer Museum, as well as museums in Moscow, Leningrad, Poltava, Osaka, Khabarousk, Kiev and Tbilissi.
