American & Soviet Impressionism:
Selections from the Permanent Collection

September 1, 2002 - ongoing

In remembrance of 9/11, Fleischer Museum will join America's Museum community during the month of September to "Celebrate America's Freedom." "This initiative underscores the museums' roles as stewards of the nation's stories and special places where communities can reaffirm and examine the freedom from fear, freedom to assemble, create, worship, inquire and express ideas." Spirit, a monumental bronze sculpture by Buck McCain, espouses and symbolizes the freedom of the American entrepreneur and the spirit of rugged individualism. Visit this inspiring sculpture at the entrance of Fleischer Museum.

In recognition and appreciation for all of their efforts during Arizona's and America's recent tragedies, the Museum will offer free admission to all firefighters and police officers the month of September.
